Cutlery Knives -- Addendum to General Policy
Warranty Stated On This Page Supersedes Wowshoppers General Store Policy
All Kyocera ceramic products are warranted to be free from defects in material or
workmanship five (5) years after the original purchase date. In the event that such a
defect occurs, Kyocera Tycom Corp ("KTC") will repair or replace the product
free of charge. This warranty extends only to the product's original purchaser. This
warranty does not cover damage caused by improper use, or accidental damage to the
product. Small chips or broken tips are not covered by this warranty, but can often be
corrected by re-sharpening. Discoloration on the ceramic blade can be removed by soaking
in a mild bleach solution. Made
from zirconium oxide, a material close in hardness to a diamond, our ceramic blades
actually require diamond wheels to be re-sharpened. Depending on use, ceramic knives will
require sharpening about 1/10th as often as steel knives. Please do not attempt to sharpen
them yourself. Kyocera offers complimentary re-sharpening with a nominal fee for shipping
and handling ($10, up to 2 knives, $5 each additional knife). For questions regarding our
